Cloud Systems Senior Administrator (L3)

About the role

The Cloud Systems Senior Administrator (L3) leads the design, governance, and optimisation of enterprise cloud operations across multi‑cloud and hybrid environments. This senior technical position ensures compliance, security, and operational excellence while providing executive‑level advisory support during critical incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct asset audits and verify compliance with organisational and regulatory standards.
• Review provider vulnerability policies, recommend secure baselines (e.g., CIS Benchmarks) and approve remediation strategies for complex, multi‑tenant environments.
• Define enterprise event‑management, monitoring, and observability standards, integrating ITSM, SIEM, and AIOps platforms.
• Design and approve AI‑driven anomaly detection, event‑response automation, and telemetry frameworks.
• Lead incident post‑mortems, produce RCA documentation and drive resilience improvements.
• Automate service‑request workflows, service‑catalog designs and orchestration integrations.
• Establish change‑management frameworks, review high‑risk changes and ensure proper testing and rollback plans.
• Guide cross‑functional problem‑management reviews, trend analysis and proactive issue detection.
• Define patch‑management strategies, evaluate automation tools and approve deployment schedules.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 7+ years of cloud operations experience, including at least 3 years in a senior or L3 role.
• Proven experience with Azure, AWS and hybrid cloud environments.
• Strong background in ITSM, SIEM and AIOps integrations.
• Deep knowledge of compliance frameworks such as CIS, NIST and ISO 27001.
• Relevant certifications are a plus (e.g., Microsoft Azure Solutions Architect Expert, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, CISSP).
