Cloud Architect – GCP SAP Solutions

About the role

We are looking for a seasoned GCP Cloud Architect to lead the design, operation, and optimization of SAP systems running under an Application Managed Services model. You will ensure that mission‑critical SAP workloads remain secure, highly available, and cost‑effective on Google Cloud Platform.

Key responsibilities

• Govern and oversee SAP landscapes hosted on GCP, meeting SLA, SLO, and KPI targets.
• Lead major incident management, root‑cause analysis, and provide L3/L4 support guidance.
• Manage SAP S/4HANA, ECC, BW/4HANA, and SAP BTP environments.
• Optimize cloud infrastructure performance, availability, and cost.
• Design and maintain HA/DR, backup, and disaster‑recovery strategies.
• Implement automation using Terraform and scripting (Python or Shell).
• Drive operational improvements, monitoring enhancements, and process optimization.
• Collaborate with SAP, cloud, security, and managed‑service teams to ensure compliance with enterprise standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of overall IT experience.
• 5+ years of Cloud Architecture experience, preferably on GCP.
• Extensive SAP BASIS and SAP Architecture experience, including SAP HANA administration.
• Experience supporting SAP S/4HANA and/or SAP ECC in an AMS environment.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL processes (incident, problem, change management).
• Willingness to participate in a 24x7 on‑call rotation.

Required skills

• Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, VPC, IAM, monitoring, logging).
• Terraform infrastructure‑as‑code.
• Python or Shell scripting.
• SAP BASIS, SAP Architecture, SAP HANA performance tuning.
• Design of High Availability and Disaster Recovery solutions.
• ITIL incident and change management.
