Civil CAD Modeling & Estimation Engineer

About the role

You will create accurate civil engineering models and perform quantity takeoffs that directly support project bids and execution for a U.S.-based client. The position requires translating engineering plans into measurable outputs while ensuring data reliability and compliance with project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and modify 2D/3D civil models using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Revit.
• Produce surface and linework models with required control points and perform quality checks.
• Execute horizontal and 3D quantity takeoffs using Bluebeam and Agtek, including cut‑and‑fill, excavation scope, and site balancing.
• Extract quantities from CAD files or PDFs and align them with engineered specifications.
• Populate estimating bid forms with quantified scope items and generate cut‑to‑fill maps for field use.
• Coordinate with vendors to gather pricing inputs and support complete estimates.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in civil engineering modeling, drafting, or estimating.
• Hands‑on experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Agtek, and Bluebeam.
• Familiarity with cut‑and‑fill analysis, subgrade calculations, and site balancing.
• Ability to work night shift (8:00 PM – 5:00 AM) and onsite for the first three months for training.
