Civil CAD Modeling & Estimating Engineer

About the role

You will produce accurate civil engineering models and quantity takeoffs that directly inform project bids and execution for a U.S.-based client. Working night shifts in a hybrid setting, you will ensure engineering data, site quantities and cost inputs are reliable, structured and aligned with project scopes.

Key responsibilities

• Convert engineering plans into precise 2D/3D digital models using AutoCAD, Civil 3D and Revit.
• Perform horizontal and 3D quantity takeoffs, cut‑and‑fill calculations and site balancing with Bluebeam and Agtek.
• Populate estimating bid forms with quantified scope items and generate cut‑to‑fill maps for field use.
• Coordinate with vendors, send quote requests, track responses and maintain quote documentation.
• Maintain clear, traceable records of quantities, revisions and assumptions to support auditability.

Required profile

• At least 2 years of experience in civil engineering modeling, drafting or estimating.
• Hands‑on experience producing 2D/3D models and quantity takeoffs using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, Agtek and Bluebeam.
• Proven ability to handle cut‑and‑fill analysis, subgrade calculations and site balancing.
• Willingness to work night shift and attend onsite training for the first three months.
