Chief General Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a Chief General Accountant to lead our accounting function, ensure accurate financial reporting, and maintain compliance with Philippine regulations. This senior position supports strategic decision‑making and drives continuous improvement of financial processes.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and month‑end/year‑end closings.
• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in accordance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
• Ensure timely filing of government reports and compliance with BIR, SEC, and other regulatory bodies.
• Manage and mentor the accounting team, fostering professional growth and high performance.
• Monitor financial performance, identify risks, and recommend improvements.
• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and ensure timely vendor payments.
• Process payments (checks, electronic transfers) while adhering to company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Continuously identify opportunities to streamline invoice processing and accounts payable workflows.
• Provide support for financial queries related to procurement and payment processes.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy; CPA license is an advantage.
• Minimum of 45 years of relevant experience in accounting or finance, preferably in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, standards, and reporting requirements.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office applications.
