Category Specialist – EFM (Procurement)

About the role

The Category Specialist – EFM will support the Office of the CFO in driving procurement excellence for a specific sub‑category. You will work closely with the Category Lead, internal business partners, and suppliers to ensure data‑driven decisions and smooth sourcing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Compile and analyse spend, demand and supplier data to support category strategy and forecasting.
• Conduct market research on pricing trends and supplier performance.
• Assist the Category Lead in gathering business requirements and documenting feedback.
• Prepare RFx documentation, collect supplier inputs, and organise bid evaluation materials.
• Maintain contract records, track renewals and monitor compliance.
• Compile supplier performance metrics and prepare review materials.
• Coordinate onboarding and evaluation processes with Procurement Ops and the Centre of Excellence.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Business, Economics, Engineering or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in procurement or analytical roles.
• Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross‑functional teams and manage multiple stakeholders.
