Carpenter/Mason – Hotel Maintenance & Furniture Repair

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Carpenter/Mason to join our hotel maintenance team. The successful candidate will be responsible for repairing and fabricating furniture, doors, windows and performing minor civil works to keep guest areas in top condition.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out repairs to existing furniture, doors and windows.
• Fabricate new furniture.
• Repair door locks.
• Repair upholstery of hotel furniture.
• Perform minor repairs on floor and wall carpets.
• Assist in the preparation of decorations for functions.
• Perform furniture polishing work.
• Assist in decoration work for functions.
• Follow all safety regulations meticulously.
• Maintain cleanliness of the work area and after completion of work.
• Ensure a clean appearance and uniform, especially when working in guest areas.
• Perform duties outside the scope of the trade in case of emergencies.

Required profile

• High School graduate or Technical/Vocational Certificate in Carpentry, Masonry or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role, preferably in a hotel, resort or commercial facility.
• Physically fit, able to work at heights and lift heavy materials.
• Willing to work shifting schedules, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Positive attitude, reliability and strong attention to detail.
