Buyer II – Indirect Purchasing Operations

About the role

The Buyer II will support Emerson’s indirect purchasing operations in the Philippines, handling transaction processing, vendor inquiries, and exception resolution. You will work with the purchasing system to convert requisitions into purchase orders, maintain catalogs, and ensure compliance with procurement policies. The role is based in Mandaluyong City and collaborates with internal business partners and external suppliers.

Key responsibilities

• Process requisitions and convert them into accurate purchase orders.
• Issue, track, and update purchase orders throughout their lifecycle.
• Respond to vendor and stakeholder inquiries related to requisitions, purchase orders, and catalogs.
• Analyze purchasing system reports to identify non‑compliance, exceptions, and incomplete transactions.
• Provide guidance on procurement policies and procedures to improve compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in procurement or purchasing.
• Strong drive for results with a proactive and innovative approach to problem solving.
• Ability to work independently, produce high‑quality reports, and collaborate effectively at all organizational levels.

Required skills

• Proficiency with spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Experience using databases.
• Competence in word processing applications (e.g., Microsoft Word).
