Business Development Officer – Technology Commercialization

About the role

The Business Development Officer will drive the commercialization of T.I.P.'s research outputs and emerging technologies. You will work closely with researchers, startups, industry partners and investors to turn innovative ideas into market‑ready ventures.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct market research, customer discovery and competitor analysis to validate commercialization opportunities.
• Develop technical, financial and operational feasibility studies and identify target customer segments, pricing and market‑entry strategies.
• Create business models, comprehensive business plans and go‑to‑market roadmaps.
• Prepare financial projections, pricing models and revenue strategies to support investment readiness.
• Assist in startup formation, investment pitching and commercialization‑readiness initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, Entrepreneurship, Technology Management or a related field; graduate degree is a plus.
• 3–5 years of experience in business development, technology transfer, innovation commercialization, startup development or consulting.
• Proven experience preparing business plans, financial models, feasibility studies and commercialization strategies.
• Exposure to academic or research‑driven environments is advantageous.
