Business Development Officer

About the role

The Business Development Officer will drive growth by identifying new opportunities across multiple industries such as pharmaceuticals, cosmetics, and household products. This role focuses on expanding the company’s presence in the rigid and flexible plastics packaging market in the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new business opportunities that align with the company’s strategic objectives.
• Map key players and suppliers of rigid and flexible plastic packaging and build a professional network.
• Spot merger and acquisition targets and coordinate preparatory steps before due diligence.
• Prepare information systems to provide data on existing and potential customers.
• Conduct market research to uncover trends, volumes, and competitor activities.
• Assist other departments with risk assessments for new products and services.
• Serve as the primary source of business‑development expertise within the organization.
• Maintain regular contact with sales and production teams to stay updated on product developments.
• Monitor developments in product marketing and research to ensure competitive positioning.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales Entrepreneurship, Marketing Management or a related field.
• Minimum five years of business‑development experience in the rigid and/or flexible plastic packaging industry.
• Proven background in market research and a strong understanding of the packaging market.
• Established network with key industry players and the ability to forge new connections.
