Budget Assistant Manager – Cost Accounting & Budget Analysis

About the role

Lapanday Foods Corporation is seeking a Budget Assistant Manager to support cost accounting and budget analysis across its plantation operations. The role involves validating budget assumptions, preparing variance reports, and ensuring accurate financial planning for the company’s banana and pineapple export business.

Key responsibilities

• Check, review and validate budget assumptions submitted by various departments.
• Coordinate with departments to prepare accurate budget assumptions and ensure proper account charging.
• Supervise the processing of periodic and annual operating budgets for plantations and departments.
• Summarize and consolidate budgets by account and cost component.
• Finalize budgets with comparative actuals from prior years.
• Monitor clearance of electronic purchase requisition slips (ePRs) by budget staff.
• Assist in preparing and processing supplemental budget requests (RSBs) up to final approval.
• Prepare and submit periodic production cost variance reports and related analyses.
• Generate cost review reports highlighting material cost changes against budget.
• Conduct cost orientation training for budget team members.

Required profile

• College graduate with a BS in Accountancy.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in financial planning and controlling.
• Ability to develop financial projections and models.
• CPA, MBA or CMA qualification is a plus.
• Good moral character and strong analytical skills.
