Boom Truck Operator

About the role

Mytreya Interpacific Inc., a joint venture delivering engineering and construction solutions across the region, is seeking an experienced Boom Truck Operator. The role involves operating hydraulic boom trucks to transport, hoist, and precisely place heavy construction materials on a variety of commercial, residential, and civil projects.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and operate hydraulic boom trucks to move structural steel, precast concrete, trusses, formwork, and HVAC rooftop units to exact installation points.
• Conduct daily pre‑lift site assessments, evaluating soil stability, slope, bearing capacity, overhead utilities, and structural hazards.
• Select, inspect, and configure rigging assemblies such as slings, shackles, spreader beams, and chains, and interpret crane load charts for complex lifts.
• Lead pre‑shift safety briefings, maintain OSHA and DOT compliance, and ensure clear hand/radio signal communication.
• Perform pre‑trip and post‑trip equipment inspections, reporting any maintenance needs.
• Collaborate with project superintendents, subcontractors, and safety officers, mentoring junior operators and ground crews.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of professional experience operating boom trucks or cranes on construction sites.
• Valid Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
• Preferred certifications: NCCCO crane operator certification, OSHA 10‑ or 30‑hour construction safety, Rigger & Signalperson certification, and a valid DOT medical card.
• Ability to pass random drug testing, lift up to 50 lb, work at heights, and operate outdoors in varying weather conditions.
