BIM Technician – Tunnel Systems (Fire Protection)

About the role

The BIM Technician – Tunnel Systems will create high‑quality BIM models and drawing documentation for fire protection systems in tunnel and transport infrastructure projects. Working from WSP’s Global Capability Centre in Manila, you will collaborate closely with the Project BIM Coordinator, Australian Project Engineers and the BIM Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Develop 3D Revit models for fire detection and protection systems and produce coordinated AutoCAD MEPF design drawings.
• Prepare plant‑room layouts, sections, details and general arrangement drawings from sketches and design inputs.
• Coordinate engineering services, agree model priorities and deadlines with the Project Engineer/BIM Manager, and ensure compliance with WSP CAD/BIM standards.
• Support senior BIM staff with task analysis, QA, document control and CDM guidelines, and share best practices with the team.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in MEP Revit modelling, specifically fire detection and protection systems, preferably in tunnel or transport projects.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent vocational qualification; working towards engineering registration.
• Ability to work independently on large projects and communicate effectively in written and oral English.
• Understanding of construction methodology, risk management and WSP’s organisational capabilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in 3D Revit modelling and Navisworks for clash detection.
• Strong knowledge of AutoCAD MEPF for 2D documentation.
• Experience applying BIM protocols, standards and QA processes.
• Familiarity with CAD/BIM templates, library items and digital project delivery tools.
