Baker (Rotating) – Cruise Ship

About the role

The Rotating Baker is responsible for the daily operation of the bakery on a cruise ship, ensuring high‑quality bread production that meets menu requirements and food‑safety standards. You will work closely with the Head Baker and Executive Chef to manage production, control waste, and maintain a clean, compliant work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and control the bakery shop and production daily according to company policies.
• Produce, present, and maintain the quality of the bread assortment for daily menus.
• Assist the Head Baker with production forecasts, leftover recording, and waste minimisation.
• Set up bread displays in various buffets and ensure compliance with United States Public Health (USPH) regulations.
• Maintain bakery cleanliness per the Executive Chef’s schedule and prepare for USPH inspections.
• Requisition and transport necessary items from main stores to the bakery.
• Ensure recipes and yields align with company standards and complete daily consumption recap.
• Participate in meetings, training, and other work‑related activities as required.

Required profile

• Minimum three years of experience as a baker in an upscale hotel, resort, cruise ship, or convention banqueting service (shipboard experience preferred).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques, equipment use, and USPH food‑safety rules.
