Backend Engineer – Remote (Philippines)

About the role

Quollio Technologies is seeking a Backend Engineer to join its Data Intelligence Cloud team. You will work remotely from the Philippines, contributing to the development, improvement, and maintenance of the core backend services that power the platform for Japanese enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities

• Understand and work with the existing technical stack to develop new features and enhance existing functionality.
• Follow the Tech Lead’s guidance to ensure high‑quality, reliable code.
• Create clear technical documentation for engineers, product managers, and other stakeholders.
• Participate actively in team discussions, offering design and process improvement ideas.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills in English for both conversation and documentation.
• Accountable for delivering assigned tasks on schedule and with quality.
• Proactive attitude with the ability to lead initiatives that help the team succeed.
• Interest in working in a startup environment and enthusiasm for B2B SaaS and enterprise data management.

Required skills

• Backend development experience (3+ years) with Python; Golang, Java, C++ or Rust are a plus.
• Linux and cloud development experience (2+ years).
• Familiarity with AWS, Vercel, Auth0, Amazon Cognito, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, OpenSearch.
• Experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub and Terraform Cloud.
