Backend Engineer (JSON Schema Developer) – Remote

About the role

We are looking for a skilled Backend Engineer specialized in JSON schema development to work remotely on an hourly contract. You will transform complex, unstructured documents into well‑defined data models that power our integration pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze complex documents and extract structured data points.
• Design and implement robust, deeply nested JSON schemas with appropriate field types.
• Define validation rules, constraints, and logical relationships within schemas.
• Develop API contracts to ensure seamless data integration across systems.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to refine data requirements and schema design.
• Document schema structures, field definitions, and usage guidelines.
• Promote best practices in data modeling, architecture, and scalability.

Required profile

• Strong experience in data modeling, schema design, and JSON schema development.
• Ability to translate unstructured data into structured models.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently in a remote, distributed environment.
