Azure Back-End Engineer (Hybrid)

About the role

ConnectOS is looking for an Azure Back-End Engineer to design and deliver scalable, cloud‑native services for a UK‑based SaaS platform. You will work in a hybrid setting from our Metro Manila office, collaborating with product‑centric agile teams.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain micro‑service based back‑end systems using C#/.NET or Python with clean architecture.
• Design, deploy and operate Azure solutions (App Service, Functions, AKS, Container Apps) using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions and IaC tools such as Bicep or Terraform.
• Integrate Azure OpenAI and Azure AI Foundry models into production, handling streaming responses, token limits and fallback logic.
• Implement data‑integration pipelines across Delta tables, Microsoft Fabric/OneLake, Databricks and event streaming via Kafka or Azure Event Hubs.
• Develop robust service layers that orchestrate API calls, caching and data shaping for AI agents.
• Ensure performance, scalability and resilience, instrumenting services with Application Insights, Azure Monitor and OpenTelemetry.
• Participate in agile ceremonies, code reviews and continuous delivery cycles.

Required profile

• Strong experience building scalable back‑end services in C#/.NET or Python.
• Proven ability to design and run Azure‑native platforms with CI/CD and IaC.
• Hands‑on experience integrating AI/ML models via Azure OpenAI or Azure AI Foundry.
• Solid background in lakehouse data stacks and event‑driven architectures.
• Focus on non‑functional quality (performance, resilience, observability).
• Experience working in agile, product‑focused teams.
