AVP Financial Reporting & Governance Lead

About the role

ING is seeking an Assistant Vice President to lead financial reporting, regulatory governance and control functions. The role ensures the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of both internal and external financial disclosures while supporting strategic initiatives that strengthen the bank’s financial resilience.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee preparation and delivery of financial and regulatory reports in line with ING policies and applicable regulations.
• Support financial statement preparation, coordinate external audit activities and analyse reporting variances.
• Monitor changes in accounting standards and regulatory requirements, translating them into practical guidance for the business.
• Strengthen governance and internal control frameworks across reporting processes.
• Drive process improvements, automation and reporting enhancements.
• Collaborate with business, risk, compliance and operations teams on new products, projects and regulatory initiatives.
• Manage outsourced finance activities and ensure service quality.
• Contribute to strategic change programmes, system implementations and reporting transformation projects.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance or related field; CPA preferred.
• 8‑12 years of experience in financial reporting, regulatory reporting, financial control, audit or finance governance within banking or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS/PFRS and banking regulatory reporting obligations.
• Proven ability to manage change, improve processes and strengthen controls.
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with reporting tools and automation solutions.
