Automation Test Engineer

About the role

The Automation Test Engineer will design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts to verify application functionality across multiple platforms. Working closely with the test team, you will convert manual test cases into automated ones, execute them within the development pipeline, and ensure reliable test results.

Key responsibilities

• Run automated test scripts using tools such as TOSCA, Selenium, Appium, Cypress or Playwright and accurately log outcomes.
• Write, modify, and enhance automation scripts in Java, Python or JavaScript.
• Analyze script failures, interpret error logs, and resolve issues with guidance from senior engineers.
• Assist in transforming manual test cases into automated scripts to improve coverage and efficiency.
• Maintain detailed records of test scripts, execution steps, and results for traceability.
• Collaborate with test analysts and developers, providing updates on automation progress and addressing challenges.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing and early defect detection.
• Document test outcomes, log defects, and communicate findings using test management tools.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
• Understanding of software testing principles, SDLC, STLC, Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience with test management and defect tracking tools such as Jira, ALM, Rally or Confluence.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like GitHub, GitLab, Jenkins or Azure DevOps.
• ISTQB Foundation Level certification (preferred).
