Auditor – Issue Validation

About the role

Auditor – Issue Validation will join Northern Trust’s Audit Services team, reporting to the Senior Audit Manager in Manila. The role supports stakeholders across EMEA and North America, delivering end‑to‑end issue validation and account servicing loss investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute testing approaches, ensuring clear and concise work‑paper documentation.
• Escalate and communicate findings with management, facilitating timely discussion of review matters.
• Identify, analyze and prioritize risks, conduct interviews, observe operations and document processes and controls.
• Lead regulatory validation projects and other deliverables, meeting quality and timeliness standards.
• Develop an understanding of business risks, relevant laws, regulatory rules and the impact of IT systems.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal audit teams and key business stakeholders.
• Assist with ad‑hoc projects as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics (preferred but not mandatory).
• Professional accounting certification (e.g., CPA, CIA, ACA, ACCA) is a plus.
• Minimum 4 years of auditing experience in a financial institution or public accounting within financial services.
