Associate Principal Environmental & Social Advisory Services

About the role

Arup is seeking an Associate Principal to lead the growth of its Environmental & Social Advisory Services across Southeast Asia. Based in Manila with flexibility to work elsewhere in the region, the role combines market development, business development and senior technical oversight on E&S projects.

Key responsibilities

• Define and execute business and marketing strategies for Climate and Sustainability Services in SEA.
• Identify and evaluate growth opportunities, prepare proposals and capability statements for key clients.
• Lead the E&S Advisory team in client engagement, relationship building and service delivery.
• Represent Arup at industry events, conferences and forums, communicating trends and regulatory changes.
• Mentor and develop team members, fostering professional growth and new skill acquisition.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in environmental impact assessment, ESIA or E&S due diligence.
• Proven business development track record in Southeast Asia, including strategic partnerships and client relationship management.
• Experience in consulting or advisory environments and in building high‑performing teams.
• Recognised expertise in international CSS standards such as ADB, IFC, World Bank, EDGE and LEED.
