Associate Electrical Design Engineer III

About the role

The Associate Electrical Design Engineer III will apply basic design engineering principles to support Fluor’s projects. Working under the Area Lead, the role contributes to delivering cost-effective, high-quality electrical designs while ensuring compliance with industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Apply standard engineering techniques to routine assignments and develop cost‑competitive project solutions.
• Review vendor equipment documentation for compliance and resolve discrepancies.
• Participate in equipment and material procurement, permitting, and subcontracting activities.
• Analyze problems, make independent recommendations, and adhere to codes, standards, and departmental procedures.
• Organize and prioritize multiple projects, set priorities, and meet deadlines.

Required profile

• Accredited four‑year engineering degree (or global equivalent) with at least six years of relevant experience.
• Professional certification or registration in the applicable engineering field.
• Proficiency in Revit, S3D, E3D or CADWorx.
• Strong communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
• Advanced knowledge of discipline codes, standards, and commercial availability of materials.
