Assistant Vice President – Business Functional Analyst (Financial Reporting)

About the role

The Business Functional Analyst (BFA) will support the delivery of daily close reporting, automation of reporting disclosures, and revenue migration to a strategic sub‑ledger. Working closely with project SMEs, run‑the‑bank experts and IT teams, the BFA ensures successful project delivery and data quality.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document RTB requirements and translate them into business requirements.
• Define global reporting rules, automation forms and sub‑ledger/ledger specifications.
• Coordinate data attribute requirements with the data sourcing team.
• Research and resolve data quality issues raised by legal vehicle and business area controllers.
• Perform financial and regulatory reporting data analysis for project delivery.
• Support all project phases – analysis, design, development, testing and implementation.
• Provide SME support, propose solutions and conduct training for RTB users.
• Develop functional design documents, UAT test cases, execute UAT and summarize results for stakeholder sign‑off.
• Maintain project documentation and communicate updates to the team.

Required profile

• Strong analytical mindset with experience in financial reporting processes.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams and external stakeholders.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.
• Detail‑oriented approach to root‑cause analysis and issue resolution.
