Assistant Restaurant Manager

About the role

The Assistant Restaurant Manager supports the Restaurant Manager in delivering exceptional guest experiences and smooth daily operations. You will oversee opening and closing procedures, manage peak‑hour floor activity, and drive local marketing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Execute opening and mid‑shift procedures using the QSCH Restaurant Checklist to ensure the store is fully prepared.
• Manage floor operations during peak periods, maintaining service quality, hospitality, and cleanliness across dining, kitchen, and restroom areas.
• Engage guests, resolve concerns promptly, and ensure serving times and product quality exceed standards.
• Lead closing shift activities, completing line checks and preparing the restaurant for the next day.
• Implement local marketing programs to attract repeat business and encourage guest referrals.
• Conduct regular team meetings, recognize high performers, and support employee development.
• Administer Key Management Systems to influence sales, profit, QSCH, and people metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or college degree in Food & Beverage Services Management, Hospitality/Tourism/Hotel Management, Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
• Prior experience as an Assistant Restaurant Manager or in comparable restaurant operations roles.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple operational facets of a restaurant.
