Assistant Project Manager – Construction

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of commercial and industrial construction projects from pre‑construction through close‑out. Working closely with senior Project Managers, you will gain hands‑on experience and develop the judgment needed to eventually lead projects independently.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in managing project budgets, schedules, contracts, procurement, permitting and documentation.
• Coordinate RFIs, submittals, change orders and close‑out activities with accuracy and urgency.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, engineers, trade partners and internal teams to solve problems and keep projects moving forward.
• Participate in estimating, design coordination and subcontractor buyout activities.
• Track project costs, maintain documentation and help prepare monthly pay applications.
• Conduct regular jobsite visits to evaluate progress, quality and safety, and report observations.
• Build strong client relationships and deliver exceptional service.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business or related field, or equivalent industry experience.
• Strong organizational, communication and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Collaborative, proactive mindset with a desire to learn and grow.
• Willingness to travel periodically for project meetings and site visits.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
• Experience using construction software such as Procore, Bluebeam and Microsoft Project.
