About the role
The School of Information at San Jose State University seeks a tenure‑track Assistant Professor to join its Bachelor of Science program in Information Science and Data Analytics. The successful candidate will deliver both on‑campus and online instruction and must be willing to relocate to the San Jose area.
Key responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate courses in information science, data analytics, and related areas.
- Develop and deliver online curriculum components.
- Engage in scholarly research and publish in relevant venues.
- Contribute to departmental service, curriculum development, and student advising.
Required profile
- Ph.D. or equivalent terminal degree in a relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise in at least one of the listed research/teaching areas.
- Willingness to relocate to San Jose and work in a hybrid teaching environment.
