Assistant Manager – Equity Cash Settlements

About the role

HSBC is seeking an Assistant Manager to join its Equity Cash Settlements team in Manila. The role focuses on ensuring timely and accurate matching and settlement of equity trades while supporting both line and project responsibilities within the business.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure matching and settlement of trades are completed accurately and on time.
• Manage daily task allocations and monitor progress.
• Apply the risk and control framework and follow escalation procedures.
• Act as the first point of escalation in the supervisor’s absence.
• Contribute to process improvement, new business initiatives, and operating model challenges.
• Build strong relationships with business and operations management.
• Assist in transitioning ad‑hoc roles to global service centres.

Required profile

• Experience in investment banking or a financial institution.
• Ability to work in a demanding, time‑sensitive environment.
• Quick learner with strong numerical interpretation skills.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Good written communication for business letters and reports.
• Effective telephone and conversational skills.
• Capacity to maintain focus while handling large volumes of data and multitasking.

• Basic computer knowledge.
