Assistant Engineer

About the role

Vanguard International Semiconductor Corporation (VIS) is seeking an Assistant Engineer to join its wafer fabrication facilities in Taiwan. The role focuses on supporting equipment operation, process control, and continuous improvement initiatives within a high‑tech semiconductor environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain assigned semiconductor process equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and assist in troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on process optimization and yield improvement projects.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and cleanroom protocols.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM‑related field such as Engineering, Electronics, Materials Science, Physics, or a related discipline.
• Willingness to relocate to Taiwan.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Prior experience in the semiconductor industry is a plus but not mandatory.
