Assembly Process Engineer

About the role

onsemi is seeking a hands‑on Assembly Process Engineer to develop, improve and support manufacturing processes for semiconductor products. The role combines technical leadership with practical problem‑solving across mechanical, electrical and software domains.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and support existing processes and workflows, identifying improvement opportunities.
• Design and implement engineering projects focused on process development and design.
• Troubleshoot process issues, collaborating with cross‑functional engineers to resolve bugs.
• Prepare reports documenting process status, changes, and operational metrics.
• Lead process optimization and equipment development projects, providing clear implementation instructions.
• Assist in experiment design, statistical data analysis, and documentation for training purposes.
• Provide development and troubleshooting support from growth through wafer processes.
• Track performance of tests and upgrades, and contribute to new product or service development.
• Project leadership and execution of additional tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 1 year of industrial or manufacturing experience (or advanced degree with relevant lab work).
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities in a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision and manage multiple priorities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on internal customer service.
• Familiarity with health and safety requirements in an industrial setting.
• Willingness to travel up to 10 % domestically and internationally.
