Area Coordinator

About the role

The Area Coordinator supports project benefits defined in the Project Management Plan and Build Sequence Plan. Reporting to the Construction Manager, the role ensures that work packages across multiple trades are executed on time, within budget, and to quality standards while leading a team of trade supervisors on a vessel area.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and drive execution of trade work packages to meet schedule, budget, and quality targets.
• Lead and coordinate trade supervisors to deliver the defined scope for a specific vessel area.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ) requirements.
• Manage resources, planning, and scheduling to meet project deadlines.
• Identify and resolve conflicts and issues that could impact delivery.

Required profile

• Relevant or aligned trade qualification.
• Senior First Aid certification.
• Leadership and HSEQ development training.
• Strong interpersonal, people‑management and communication abilities.
• Proven time‑management, resource planning and scheduling skills.
• Understanding of organisational policies, especially HSEQ and P&C.
• Experience in construction/project management, preferably ship construction or maintenance.
