About the role

Studio Ong is seeking a licensed Architect or Interior Designer to join its multidisciplinary design team. The role involves delivering interior and architectural projects across hospitality, residential and commercial sectors, from concept through construction.

Key responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and technical drawings with minimal supervision.
• Lead portions of design development, detailing, and documentation.
• Coordinate with clients, contractors, and consultants to align design intent and execution.
• Review drawings and mentor junior designers on production and quality standards.
• Prepare material boards, presentations, and close‑out documents.
• Conduct site visits to ensure compliance with design and specification standards.
• Contribute to estimates, procurement coordination, and value‑engineering discussions.
• Uphold Studio Ong’s documentation standards, timelines, and project‑tracking systems.

Required profile

• Licensed Architect or Interior Designer, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of professional experience in design and construction documentation.
• Strong sense of space planning, proportion, and detailing.
• Clear communicator in both design discussions and documentation.
• Organized, proactive, and dependable in project coordination.
• Ability to lead small project scopes and guide junior teammates.
• Resourceful problem‑solver who works gracefully under pressure.
