Architect II – Education

About the role

Arcadis is seeking an Architect II to contribute to education‑focused projects, applying sustainable design principles to K‑12 environments. You will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver high‑quality architectural solutions that align with environmental, social and economic outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Integrate sustainable development goals into architectural design for education facilities.
• Conduct research, data gathering and analysis to inform design decisions.
• Develop proficiency with desktop applications and digital tools, supporting the team’s automation initiatives.
• Collaborate on project management, relationship management and commercial aspects of projects.
• Maintain awareness of Arcadis financial metrics and business practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture or related discipline.
• Licensed architect status (or equivalent).
• Minimum 4 years of architectural design experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Familiarity with the International Building Code (IBC) for the United States.

Required skills

• Design software: AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, Adobe Suite, Lumion, Enscape.
• Navisworks and clash detection (advantage).
• Revit add‑ins (advantage).
• Programming knowledge: C++, Python, Dynamo (advantage).
• Knowledge of BREEAM and LEED standards (advantage).
