Application Lead

About the role

The Application Lead will head the mobile and web applications team at BPO International, reporting to the CTO. This hands‑on position combines active coding with leadership of delivery, ensuring the product backlog is executed efficiently and the release pipeline remains robust.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and ship features for mobile (iOS/Android) and web applications, spending the majority of time writing code.
• Define and maintain app‑layer architecture, code‑review processes and engineering standards for both platforms.
• Own the CI/CD pipeline, manage app‑store submissions, monitor crashes and ensure overall app stability.
• Collaborate with the Product Owner to deliver committed backlog items on schedule.
• Lead sprint ceremonies, mentor and grow the engineering team through regular reviews.
• Oversee technical hand‑over from external development partners as the team transitions to in‑house development.
• Perform additional tasks to support the team and company objectives as needed.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of mobile or full‑stack engineering experience.
• At least 2 years in a tech‑lead or team‑lead capacity.
• Proven ability to remain a high‑output individual contributor while leading a team.
• Experience in a startup environment is preferred.

Required skills

• Expertise in React Native or native iOS/Android development.
• Proficiency with modern web frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines, app‑store deployment and crash analytics tools.
