About the role
IBM Consulting is seeking an Application Developer specialized in relational database management systems (RDBMS) to design, develop, and maintain database applications across Linux, Unix, and Windows environments. The role supports clients on their hybrid cloud and AI journeys by delivering secure, high‑performance database solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Design efficient, secure, and reliable database applications that meet specifications.
- Develop and maintain code in PL/SQL, T‑SQL, and DB2 for LUW.
- Test, debug, and optimize database applications for performance and scalability.
- Implement database security best practices to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to integrate database solutions with broader client initiatives.
Required profile
- Experience developing database applications on Linux, Unix, or Windows platforms.
- Strong understanding of database concepts, data modeling, and SQL programming.
- Familiarity with database security principles and performance tuning.
