About the role
The Analyst, Inventory Accounting supports the global inventory and cost accounting team, providing day‑to‑day accounting services for the APAC, LATAM, Canada and EU regions. The role is based at the Techlog Center in the Philippines and works closely with finance, IT and audit teams.
Key responsibilities
- Execute weekly runs and analysis of inventory transactions for assigned business units.
- Prepare standard cost calculations, run cost reviews, coordinate with IT for timely cost uploads, and validate loaded costs.
- Participate in month‑end closing, including inventory reserve calculations, COGS reporting, and purchase price variance analysis.
- Reconcile inventory and related account balances using DAX and Blackline, proposing adjustment entries as needed.
- Prepare and post journal entries, and respond to internal and external auditor inquiries.
- Maintain SOX compliance by monitoring controls, updating documentation, and supporting ad‑hoc management requests.
Required profile
- Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in finance/accounting with a focus on inventory and cost accounting.
- Experience in wireless, high‑tech, manufacturing or insurance industries is a plus.
- Strong analytical mindset, attention to detail and ability to work cross‑culturally.
