AML Transaction Monitoring Analyst

About the role

PwC is seeking a meticulous AML Transaction Monitoring Analyst to join its risk and compliance team in Makati. You will play a key part in safeguarding the financial system by monitoring transactions, identifying suspicious activity, and ensuring strict adherence to anti‑money‑laundering regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and monitor financial transactions using specialized AML software to detect potential money‑laundering patterns.
• Investigate alerts generated by monitoring tools, assess transaction legitimacy, and document findings.
• Prepare detailed suspicious activity reports (SARs) and escalate cases as required.
• Maintain compliance with AML regulations, including SAR filing and OFAC requirements.
• Utilize data‑analysis techniques to uncover trends and support continuous improvement of monitoring systems.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure a comprehensive AML strategy.
• Keep accurate records of all monitoring and investigation activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
• At least 1 year of experience in AML transaction monitoring, compliance or a similar role.
• Preferred certifications such as CAMS or CFE.
• Strong analytical mindset with keen attention to detail.
