Airfreight Operations Specialist

About the role

The Airfreight Operations Specialist will oversee end‑to‑end air freight shipments, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency and high customer satisfaction. Working under general supervision, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers, handling bookings, documentation and any shipment‑related incidents.

Key responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers to collect shipment details, address incidents and resolve complaints.
• Capture and allocate costs and revenues to customer profiles, resolving simple billing discrepancies.
• Process customer bookings, gather required documentation and coordinate local and international transport activities.
• Manage shipments to meet service commitments, monitoring performance and addressing operational issues promptly.
• Identify and report exceptions or irregularities, ensuring timely communication with stakeholders.
• Improve data quality of shipment records and ensure accuracy of status information.
• Follow regulatory procedures for commodities, destinations and other legal requirements.
• Develop optimal routing solutions that balance customer needs and profitability.
• Prepare and issue accurate invoices with supporting documentation.
• Use monitoring tools to track shipment performance and highlight areas for improvement.
