Air Freight Operations Specialist

About the role

The Air Freight Operations Specialist manages end‑to‑end air freight shipments, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and high customer satisfaction. You will act as the primary point of contact for customers, handling bookings, documentation, and any issues that arise during transport.

Key responsibilities

• Engage directly with customers to collect shipment details, address incidents, and resolve complaints.
• Capture and allocate costs and revenues accurately to customer profiles, resolving billing discrepancies.
• Process customer bookings, gather required documentation, and coordinate local and international transport activities.
• Monitor shipments against service commitments, proactively addressing operational issues or irregularities.
• Identify and report exceptions or delays to relevant stakeholders, ensuring timely communication.
• Improve data quality by ensuring shipment records are accurate and up‑to‑date.
• Follow regulatory procedures for commodities, destinations, and other legal requirements.
• Develop optimal routing solutions that meet customer needs while maximizing profitability.
• Prepare and issue accurate invoices with all supporting documentation.
• Use monitoring tools to track shipment performance and highlight areas for improvement.
