AI Solutions Engineer

About the role

Axi, a global provider of margin and deliverable foreign exchange, CFDs and financial spread betting, is looking for an AI Solutions Engineer in the Philippines. The role covers building, improving and scaling AI products, from front-end components and backend APIs to adoption and training, and requires candidates to hold the right documents to work in the Philippines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain front-end components for AI products using modern frameworks such as Next.js, React or Vue, following sound UI/UX principles.
• Build secure, scalable backend APIs in Node.js, Python or another relevant language, integrating Anthropic, OpenAI and other models, and automate manual processes with RPA tools such as UiPath or Power Automate.
• Debug and improve production code, validate that users understand the product, and run automated test suites (Selenium, Playwright or similar).
• Expand product usage to new markets and user groups, including regulated ones, and train non-technical users while measuring adoption.
• Work with cross-functional teams on requirements, sprint planning and architecture reviews, and share updates, documentation and insights.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, AI, Data Science or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in AI, software engineering or a related field; the role is not for fresh graduates.
• Hands-on experience with AI agents, AI applications or LLM-based solutions, preferably in production.
• Proven experience scaling and enhancing AI products across teams, markets or the organisation.
• Ability to work with existing code and solutions and to collaborate with stakeholders.

Required skills

• Python, LLMs, APIs, databases and AI platforms/tools.
• Experience with AI chatbots, voice agents or similar is an advantage.
• Knowledge of RPA platforms such as UiPath, Automation Anywhere or Power Automate is a plus.
• Fintech, financial services or trading experience is an advantage but not essential.
