AI Engineer – Workflow Automation & Integration

About the role

WeAssist is seeking a remote AI Engineer to design, build, and optimise AI‑driven workflow solutions for our global client base. You will work on automating business processes, integrating SaaS tools, and creating intelligent applications that improve efficiency and user experience.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and optimise automations using platforms such as n8n, Make.com and Zapier.
• Build reliable integrations across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, Microsoft Teams, WhatsApp and various CRMs.
• Ensure automations are error‑resilient, scalable and proactively monitored with smart notifications.
• Develop AI‑powered workflows – transcription pipelines, chatbots, meeting assistants and voice‑to‑form solutions.
• Leverage APIs like OpenAI, Claude, ElevenLabs and other LLM services to deliver intelligent user experiences.
• Fine‑tune, prompt‑engineer and optimise large language models for specific business tasks.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, document solutions and contribute to DevOps and monitoring practices.

Required profile

• 2+ years of experience with workflow automation platforms (n8n, Make.com, Zapier, Power Automate).
• Strong knowledge of API integration principles (REST, OAuth 2.0, webhooks, JSON).
• Hands‑on experience automating across Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack/Teams and CRM systems.
• Familiarity with AI/LLM APIs such as OpenAI, Claude, ElevenLabs, and transcription/voice tools.
• Analytical and troubleshooting mindset with a proactive approach to reliability.
• Excellent communication skills to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders.
• Strong organisational abilities to map and optimise end‑to‑end workflows.
