Accounts Payable Team Leader

About the role

The Accounts Payable Team Leader will oversee daily AP operations, ensuring accurate and timely processing of supplier invoices, payments, and reconciliations while leading a high‑performing team.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop the Accounts Payable team, allocating workloads and monitoring performance against KPIs.
• Oversee end‑to‑end AP processes, ensuring accurate invoice coding, timely payments, and compliance with GST and audit standards.
• Resolve invoice discrepancies with vendors and internal stakeholders, and perform month‑end reconciliations and supplier reconciliations.
• Monitor aged payables, provide insights to management, and drive continuous process improvements.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or a related field.
• 3–5 years of hands‑on Accounts Payable experience, including prior supervisory or team‑lead responsibilities.
• Proven ability to manage performance reviews, provide feedback and foster a culture of accountability.
• Strong attention to detail, organisational skills and excellent stakeholder communication.

Required skills

• Experience with NetSuite or a comparable accounting system.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
