About the role
The Accounts Payable Officer will oversee the processing of vendor payments, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This position handles a high volume of transactions and supports the finance team in maintaining compliance and financial integrity. The role collaborates closely with the procurement and accounting teams to ensure seamless payment cycles.
Key responsibilities
- Monitor and review large volumes of payment transactions promptly and accurately.
- Ensure all payments adhere to internal financial policies and external regulations.
- Perform periodic reconciliations to verify payment accuracy and prevent duplicate or fraudulent payments.
- Prioritize urgent payments and manage check security and documentation.
- Prepare and submit regular reports to the Payments Manager on team productivity, service level targets, issues, and resolutions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or a related field.
- 2‑3 years of experience in payments processing or finance operations.
- Proven ability to handle high‑volume transaction environments.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
