Accounting Team Leader (Accounts Payable)

About the role

The Accounting Team Leader will head the Payables Group, ensuring that all vendor invoices and disbursements are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with company policies. This full‑time onsite position reports to the Accounting and Tax Compliance Manager and plays a key part in strengthening internal controls and supporting cross‑functional collaboration.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily activities of the Payables Group, guaranteeing accurate and timely processing of invoices and payments.
• Manage the team’s productivity, performance, development, and culture through planning, coaching, and performance reviews.
• Direct month‑end and year‑end closing procedures for accounts payable, including vendor aging reports and statement reconciliations.
• Coordinate with other departments and third‑party suppliers to resolve discrepancies and ensure smooth operations.
• Identify and implement improvements to accounting processes, systems, and internal controls.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Financial Management or a related field; CPA license is a plus.
• Minimum 5 years of finance or accounting experience, with at least 2 years leading an accounts payable or disbursement function.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem‑solving abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP or a comparable ERP system.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel and/or Google Sheets for data analysis and presentation.
