Accounting Specialist – Remote (Work From Home)

About the role

We are looking for an Accounting Specialist to join a fast‑growing, celebrity‑co‑founded snack brand. Reporting to the Controller, you will support day‑to‑day finance operations, gain hands‑on experience across the full accounting cycle, and receive mentorship from senior finance leaders.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed‑asset transactions.
• Perform month‑end close activities, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Maintain accurate records for trade spend, deductions, rebates, and inventory costing.
• Support accounts payable and receivable processes, including invoice processing, payment runs, and cash application.
• Assist with ERP implementation, system enhancements, and documentation of accounting controls.
• Contribute to audit preparation, tax schedules, and ad‑hoc financial analyses.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 1–3 years of accounting experience (internships count).
• Foundational knowledge of GAAP and accounting principles.
• Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
