Accounting Specialist

About the role

Live Payments is looking for an Accounting Specialist to support the finance operations of its Philippine Representative Office. Working closely with the Australian Finance team and an external accounting provider, you will ensure that local financial transactions, payroll, tax compliance and statutory obligations are accurate and timely.

Key responsibilities

• Process accounts payable documentation, employee reimbursements and petty‑cash claims.
• Support payroll processing and statutory contributions (SSS, PhilHealth, Pag‑IBIG).
• Prepare supporting schedules and documentation for the Australian Finance team.
• Review financial reports and statutory submissions prepared by the external provider for accuracy and compliance with Philippine accounting and tax requirements.
• Coordinate BIR tax filings, VAT, withholding tax and income tax submissions.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities and government agencies as needed.
• Monitor changes to Philippine tax legislation and recommend compliance improvements.
• Assist with budgeting, expense monitoring and variance analysis.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
• CPA license (required).
• Minimum 5 years of professional accounting experience covering the full accounting cycle, month‑end close, general ledger, AP, AR, payroll and statutory reporting.
• Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards and BIR regulations.
