Accounting Manager – Senior Accountant

About the role

We are seeking a senior‑level Accounting Manager to lead our full‑cycle accounting function in the Philippines. The role will oversee day‑to‑day transactions, month‑end close, financial reporting and ensure compliance with Philippine tax and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Manage full‑cycle accounting including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable and fixed assets.
• Lead month‑end and year‑end close processes, preparing journal entries, accruals and account reconciliations.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports in accordance with PFRS.
• Ensure timely filing of BIR tax returns (VAT, withholding, income tax) and compliance with SEC, LGU and other regulations.
• Support annual external audits and coordinate with auditors.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets and cost reports, highlighting variances to management.
• Review and improve accounting processes, controls and documentation.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
• Licensed CPA (required).
• At least 5 years of accounting experience with full‑cycle accounting and financial reporting.
• Strong knowledge of PFRS and Philippine tax regulations (BIR compliance).
• Experience working with external auditors and government agencies.
• Detail‑oriented, high integrity and ability to work independently.
• Experience in the energy, construction or infrastructure sector is an advantage.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel.
• Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero or SAP.
