Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager leads the company’s accounting function, ensuring accurate daily operations, timely financial reporting, and strict compliance with accounting standards. This senior position requires a strategic, detail‑oriented leader who can support executive decision‑making through robust financial analysis.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise, mentor and develop accounting staff, handling recruitment, training and performance management.
• Oversee general ledger activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll.
• Manage month‑end and year‑end closing processes and prepare accurate financial statements.
• Conduct detailed financial analysis and deliver regular reports to senior leadership.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP or IFRS and maintain strong internal controls.
• Coordinate annual and quarterly audits and act as primary contact for external auditors.
• Oversee preparation and filing of corporate tax returns.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting and monitoring budget‑to‑actual variances.
