Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager leads all accounting functions at PNB Holdings Corporation, ensuring accurate financial records, timely closings, and compliance with Philippine accounting standards and regulatory requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily accounting operations and maintain the integrity of the general ledger.
• Manage the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, coordinating with other departments.
• Prepare and submit financial statements and regulatory reports (SEC, PSE, BIR, AMLC, LGU) on schedule.
• Conduct financial analysis, including variance and account balance reviews.
• Lead internal and external audit activities, preparing schedules and liaising with auditors.
• Supervise, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
• Provide financial data to tax and budget teams, supporting tax filings and project evaluations.
• Identify and resolve system issues affecting financial processes and recommend process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy (mandatory); MBA or related qualification is a plus.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• At least 3 years of managerial experience supervising accounting staff.
