Accounting Manager

About the role

The Accounting Manager will lead the accounting function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and effective asset management. This role oversees the full accounting cycle, coordinates audits, and guides a team of accountants.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee consolidation, analysis, and recording of financial transactions and review financial statements for management.
• Ensure correct and timely recording of transactions, approve vouchers and journal entries, and maintain updated ledgers.
• Establish and enforce accounting systems, internal controls, and company policies.
• Implement policies to safeguard assets, review fixed‑asset records, valuations, and depreciation.
• Prepare audit schedules, discuss findings with management, and recommend corrective actions.
• Ensure timely preparation and submission of statutory reports and maintain filing accuracy.
• Liaise with auditors, financial institutions, and government agencies on accounting and compliance matters.
• Set departmental goals, prepare budgets, manage staffing, conduct performance reviews, and drive process improvements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
• CPA licensure.
• 4–5 years of experience in an accounting leadership or managerial role.
• Strong analytical thinking, integrity, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
• Ability to negotiate and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Required skills

• CPA certification.
• Knowledge of automated accounting systems.
