Accounting Manager – Hands‑On Accounting Lead

About the role

MAVIMAVI is seeking a hands‑on Accounting Manager to lead day‑to‑day accounting operations for a fast‑growing US‑based client. This high‑ownership position offers exposure across multiple acquired subsidiaries and involves full responsibility for the month‑end close process.

Key responsibilities

• Independently manage daily operational accounting activities, including AP, AR, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Oversee and execute the full month‑end close process, preparing accruals, prepaids, and adjusting entries.
• Maintain accurate general‑ledger coding, balance‑sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules.
• Prepare bank reconciliations, investigate discrepancies, and monitor cash‑flow.
• Produce monthly financial reports and assist with budgeting and forecasting.
• Support audit preparation, coordinate with external auditors, and create audit‑ready documentation.
• Identify process gaps, implement improvements, and clean up legacy accounting issues.

Required profile

• Strong hands‑on experience in full‑cycle accounting.
• Proven ability to manage day‑to‑day accounting operations independently.
• Experience owning the month‑end close process.
• Solid knowledge of general‑ledger accounting, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online.
